They may have submitted the details of their chemical weapons program, but destroying their chemical weapons in the midst of a civil war will be a daunting task. I also thought that the weapons were going to be handed over to a neutral third party (i.e the UN), in which case the job for getting the weapons in a civil war becomes that much harder.

And has also stated that it intends to attack Syria with maximum force if it fails to honor its deadline by a single day. Hypocrisy == america. And before you start on the line of using its own citizens ... (yeah, like you they tried to blame the evil Russions then too - not much has changed). And lets not forget the 20 million gallons of category 2 chemical weapons (which america has not committed to destroy) that was sprayed on Vietnam ... and which america continues to avoid paying any compensation for despite world recognised condemnation. And back on the subject of hypocrisy ... how about the Israeli attack on Palestinian civilians (2008) using white phosphorus. Tell us all, what was the american stance on that? Don't recall any threats of missile strikes being made then. Doesn't it count when it is a "friendly" state??
