well ofcourse most of this is just my opinion so take it with some salt but: Amon and the equalists started out pretty interesting, but their actions ended up being just dull and forgettable (especially considering how great antagonists in the legend of aang were) and their motivations were almost petty - also it's a slight nitpick, but really, any bender should be able to wipe the floor with a non bender, I know that wouldn't make for an interesting story, but that kinda shows the problem with the equalists /opinion As for the Deus Ex Machina >Korra looses her bending >lolnope nope the bending was inside you all along >thanks ghost aang! I let DEM in the end of the legend of aang slide because at the very least, aang's final battle was bloody great, but the DEM in korra was just, well, the exact definition of Deus ex Machina, [i]god shows up and solves all the major problems [/i]
