Unlike Halo 4 (which gives me more of a Star Wars feel during this video) this sound track does give a distinct Halo feel. Hope I get to own it on the Xbox One since I do not have a Windows 8 device.

... All I heard was the male choir being similar in both tracks. And the cymbals in Castle Defense. And then the heavy percussion sounds a lot like... Halo 4.

Edited by A 3 Legged Goat: 9/15/2013 12:07:44 AMThe song that came to mind for Castle Defense is Enough Dead Heroes. The strings are also playing the Halo theme's progression if you listen closely (if not that one then one of the others towards the end). At least it has male choirs. There is nothing identifiable about the Halo 4 main menu other than the logo.

A) Yeah, it's probably one of the others at the end or my listening ability turning to sh1t. B) End of Atonement has Keep What you Steal. And... well, the whole Forward Unto Dawn wreckage near Requiem is pretty... identifiable to me. But okay. C) Why so defensive? I'm not knocking on the soundtrack, just saying I don't really see the resemblance between those two particular tracks and CE's. D) Halo 4's soundtrack does have a male choir in it.

Edited by A 3 Legged Goat: 9/15/2013 12:42:33 AMNot sure how I'm being defensive. The main menu doesn't have a theme. It doesn't have the Halo theme or the "Halo 4 theme" like ODST and Reach's did for theirs. It's just a few unrelated tracks (though these are my favorite from the OST). The FuD wreckage just looks like a bunch of metal. A passerby wouldn't know that, or that Requiem was in the back. I mentioned it because I don't understand how or why they abandoned the Halo themes and motifs for Halo 4, and then Spartan Assault - a mobile spinoff game with less room for its soundtrack - keeps the original feeling.

You're attacking Halo 4's OST to justify Spartan Assault's for some reason, despite Halo 4's quality being completely unrelated to the discussion. I guess defensive isn't the right word, just unnecessarily aggressive to Halo 4's. But w/e irrelevant anyways. But I guess I'm inclined to agree with that. Aside from Wreckage, which, as I've said before, is nicely present throughout most of Jinnouchi's contributions. Back to the original premise: Aside from the choir and cymbals, it doesn't really remind me of Halo CE.

I listened to it and liked it. It reminded me of the older games, and I posted it and shared that part. It's fine if you don't share the similarities. I still don't see what you're saying. I said Halo 4 isn't identifiable as Halo, whereas this is.

Err... I don't see that anywhere in your original statement. I was simply saying that I don't see the resemblance between CE and SA's OSTs. Screw it, I'll just take your first statement and stick with it. I disagree that it sounds like CE's tracks.
