Most Xbox games are 24 - 30 fps.
COD is (of the top of my head) the only games that runs at more on a console. This is on consoles we are talking about though.
I get about 120 fps on battlefield 3 on PC, about 200 on Diablo 3, about 180 on Path of Exile.
This why, no offence to any next-gen console buyers, that when PC gamers mockingly point out console restrictions, especially on the new next gen models, it's because these consoles aren't really "next generation" - they are merely catching up to what a PC could do 5 years ago.
Sure, they are better than the consoles we have now. But they are still restrictive in terms of what the technology can handle.
This is further highlighted when consoles owners say that consoles are cheaper than PCs - yes they are, but to buy a PC that can run a game @ 1080p, 60fps it will cost you the same as a console, because it's actually not that impressive any more, especially when you factor in that PC can also add filtering effects, anti-aliasing, texture effects, buffering and sampling.

But most next-gen games will be 60 FPS...
-
Yes, which PCs reached years ago... Did you even read my post?
-
Yes, I read it. I jut don't see why PCs reaching it years ago matters if there's no point to anything 60+. And PC gamers are always so pretentious and condescending to console players, while console gamers (like myself) prefer the console over the PC.

My point was that this "next gen" of consoles is only just achieving what PCs did years ago - hardly cutting edge. They also only just manage it, without any of the visual flare that PCs can adjust too. Not fanning any fanboy flames here - just stating facts.

Can you actually name a single game on Xbox that caps at 24 fps? I'm not trying to call you out or anything, I just don't think that's a thing. AFAIK it's always either 30 or 60.

Far Cry 3.

Battlefield: BC2 was running at 24 fps - DICE couldn't reach 30 fps on the Xbox. Don't know about on PS3 as I didn't have one. Don't have a link, I just remember a massive shitposting argument and outrage on the official forums back at release when the devs said they got the most out of the hardware at the time, which was a capped 24fps.
