Some things are just self evident ... same way you know not to jump off a building.
There are no wonders which need to be answered by some mythical "god".
There is no test of faith which would allow a priest (this "gods" representative) to defile an innocent child.
Time to turn the question around ... what caused you to need an imaginary friend to act as a backup in your life?

I didn't, I was actually searching for God for a while but could never find him. Thing is iv wasn't doing it in the right way. I was still doing drugs and partying, just not good things. I was honestly just scared of not having a God since I never thought he was there but I tried for my girlfriend who was very religious. And one day I prayed to God the day before asking to show a sign or something just let me know he was there. So one night I got super drunk went to bed super late the woke up really early to go to church. I was still pretty tipsy and I got really into the service and started sobering up and I don't know what came over me but I felt so different. Not just the way I felt but I was so happy. Like God literally did this to me, a feeling I.had never felt before I just started crying in happiness and that is when I started believing and ever since I've seen and felt things I never did when I thought God wasn't real.

Wonder if drugs would have helped in the same way? Or was it only alcohol which lead you to find God? Either way ... be interesting to see how it works out once you a fully sobered up.
