Can someone explain to me what happened in Syria? In like five sentences or around that general area. Just something sweet and simple?

Syrian Civil War. Obama wants to play referee with the US Military, but with guns...and more deaths. For example, let's pretend this is the American Civil War, and Suddenly Russia (all the way on the other side of the world) decides it wants to support the South, and decimate the Union. Obama wants to support the heart eating (literally there is NSFW video) rebels and decimate the current government.

Also everybody here who has ever replied to those age threads theres never been anybody below 13 I think. So I think everybody knows where Russia is.

Obama set "redline" for usage of chemical weapons a year ago. Assad more than likely used chemical weapons a couple weeks ago to kill around 1400 people. International community wants action on Syria. Obama asked Congress to vote on whether or not the US should strike Syria in what he calls a "limited engagement". Congress is set to vote sometime next week.

However, a large majority of the international community knows "with a degree of certainty" that Assad did it, including: The US, the UK, France, Turkey, Israel, the Arab League, and some other countries that are escaping me right now.

Yes and no. If i know one thing assad did not authorize it if i remember a report that said a diplomat having a screaming match with the chem weapons commander for one of the groups about why he did it. Looks more like assads troops are panicking. Remember if assad loses the alawites and their supporters are as good as dead if the rebel jihadi group gain control. We may have a genocide. Plus the 10% minority of christian are not gonna have a nice ride depending on group who wins. We may hace another civil war. And another benghazi attack. For some the best hope of stability is sadly in assad.

Well if you havent seen me say it before theres those days where I rant about it in almost all my posts. I hate humanity I gave up on them in fifth grade.
