Very different would that some how reflect how you play the game or is it just to be different.
-
It mostly has to do with how I want my fireteam to play out its attack strategy. Emerging from the shadowy depths of our enemy's dreams, their world is ours to control.

Edited by Menace 40k: 9/1/2013 10:00:48 AMInteresting concept using what the enemy fears against them. I can see how that stratedgy can work pvp wise and lore wise since according to the game humans were the only species hunted to near extinction. So maybe it was out of fear but why? Any ideas?
-
Like what if the humans were so close to becoming a more formitable race and to stop that from happening the enemies ultimately crippled humanity greatly. They know what the humans can become and that it is near inevitable, so they try to keep them secluded and pushed into a more controlled location (the last safe city on earth). That could also be why the Traveler chose earth to protect. Maybe the Traveler understands the human race's significance in the grand scheme. My fireteam is tired of others trying to take control of our destiny, so instead we take control and have our enemy's worst fears come to life.
-
Excellent point or what if they feared humans self destructive nature and feared that our expansion would ultimately destroy the universe. Kind of like population control of some sort.
-
That would explain why they didnt wipe out everyone. Although the Traveler's appearance couldve been the one to prevent it.
-
Now it really gets twisted take what I said before what if the traveler was the enemy and it's only goal was to maintain a balance of power between the species of the universe. It leaves earth completely to humans but other species spot humanities loss in number and try to capitalize only to have the traveler return as an ally.
-
The Traveler made a miscalcuation and now has to correct what it did to earth by giving them its abilities to be able to fight back and regain their planet.
-
Exactly lol now it would be hilarious if that's the actual plot just to say i said so but I would still enjoy the journey.
-
That would be insane, but I get the feeling that its not quite that simple. You never know though, that idea could be easily expanded upon. I do enjoy speculating about this as it is still such an undiscovered mystery.

Yea me too but to at all least scratch the surface in a sense makes the anticipation that much worse lol
