I find this hard to believe, I do not see how a field of study( any sciences) that sometimes do unethical/immoral things would make you more moral.
I think it would have been better for them to have said that broader thinkers are more likely to be moral individuals.

Scientists who are immoral in their practices are bad scientists. Ethics is a huge part of the scientific process.
