Bungie doesn't seem to be opposed to creating fights against large vehicles and the like with Scarabs in Halo and the Spider Walker. I would love to fight a mech, personally, so perhaps Bungie will do it.

The Scarabs were always my favorite to take down. My favorite level was taking them down on the Beach.

I liked the Scarabs in Halo 2 best. I always thought it was kind of silly that the Scarabs changed from nigh unstoppable war machines that had to be hijacked to being able to stun it and blow it up with one well placed grenade. :/
