One has better hardware, is cheaper, has less expensive online play, and has more established exclusive franchises.
They may both be [i]good [/i]choices in your eyes, but one is the better choice. To those whose money is more precious, they very well may see what appears to be a marginal difference become very significant to them, and therefore one may be terrible and one may be great.
Shoot, the marginal difference between Halo and Call of Duty isn't that significant, and yet you see people flip their shit over how awesome they perceive Halo to be and how poor they believe Call of Duty is.

Nah I hate people that whine over the price!! If you can spend 400 then 500 is much of a difference. PLUS if you sell your old system and games for the new one you can get an easy 200-300 bucks.

Better choice is subjective. That's the crux of it. It's all based on opinion. Gamers want to quantify things. They want them to be stack ranked. It isn't that simple. What works best for you? What feels right? What one makes you happy?
