The only real reason is the exclusives. It's not like the console is anything special, like it used to be.
The only exclusives worth my time are Halo, Titanfall, Project Spark and maybe Forza.
Other than that, Sony is the path I'm going this gen. Too many great games I missed out on.

Holy hell, yes. I'm looking forward to a lot of games from Naughty Dog, honestly. I just played the Uncharted games. And I've always been a fan of their previous games. Knack looks great, believe it or not. I also want to get DC universe online with my buddies, despite its poor reviews.

Nostalgia makes me need knack. My childhood consisted of almost purely crash and spyro. Along with Pokemon of course.

I also loved sly cooper! Gosh these platformer style adventure games use to be all the big titles, now all the big games are shooters or violent RPG's. Have we gotten older or has gaming itself?

It seems just seems like every generation has a new genre. I'm really tired of shooters. I just went out and bought the old crash games. My god, what a blast. I'm not that much a fan of sly cooper tbh. I never had the opportunity to try it out. But I'm going to have to play it sooner or later, I need to know which "big three" franchise is the best (Jak is winning from an achievement standpoint). I really like infamous though.

Since I haven't had a ps3 this gen I've missed out on infamous, Killzone, uncharted, TLOU, and I'm sure more. I have gotten to play resistance, god of war and gran turismo on other people though. (I'm really hoping gaikai will pull through and bring this back) And I only ever played sly cooper 1 & 2, and they are nowhere near as good as the Jak series, but they were fun in the ps2 days.

I know what you mean. I've had a ps3 this gen and I still missed out. :( And I love you tyger, is that okay? I'm probably not goin to buy a ps4 until gakai pulls through.

Haha yes that's okay. And on the previous topic about TLOU 2, I forgot this but naughty dog tends to create a new ip for each gen. Ps1= crash Ps2 = jak Ps3 = uncharted I would be surprised if they didn't do something similar this gen. I just prey it isn't an FPS or gears of war style TPS.

Yes. To be honest, I was surprised there wasn't an "Unchrarted: Drake's Racing Squad" or something. Lol Crash Bandicoot had a 4th game that was racing Jak X Uncharted ?

Hey, Crash team racing and crash nitro cart were amazing (just as good if not better than Mario kart IMO) Did naughty dog make jak x? And idk Maybe they just have better taste than that. Crash and jak make sense as racers. Nathan drake, idk.

I know. I think that platformers are my favourite genre, so I would list my favourite games of that genre. Ie Jak and Daxter. I'm pretty lucky that my name is Jak lol

However, I have not had the privilege to play any uncharted games, I've never owned a playstation, is it a good series? And I do agree with knack, definitely a game I'll be getting.

I've made 2 threads with reviews on uncharted. I wish I could link you but in on mobile. I'm currently playing the 3rd game. As for suggesting them, it's a definite YES. Uncharted 2 got GOTY (which is debatable) and Uncharted 3 is looking real good. If you do get a chance to play, play the games on easy first. It'll let you enjoy them more. Uncharted 1 and 2 come in a bundle for 30 bucks and Uncharted 3 is free if you buy ps +. Basically, this isn't Naughty Dog's first success, and it definitely won't be their last. Which is why in excited.

Pretty much every review of uncharted I've read we're all positive, which gets me really exited for the PS4 version of uncharted 4 (im not sure if uncharted 4 has been confirmed, but due to the previous success of there other games, immature it will happen). With that said, I'll definitely be buying PS + along with my PS4, will uncharted 3 be available on the PS4 at all?

That's why I'm not buying a ps4 at launch, no backward compatibility. No u3 won't be available. Maybe in the future. And Naughty Dog is infamous for their franchises because they usually only make 3 core games for each franchise and move on. I'd rather see a Jak 4 than Uncharted 4, simply because Jak achieved more despite being a ps2 title.

They dropped jack because an important person in the dev team ( I want to say the lead artist or creative director) past away. I doubt jak 4 will happen. I think the last of us 2 or a new IP is more likely.

I really dont want to see a Last of Us 2. I thought they dropped Jak because the main guys left the company. I still think Jak was their greater franchise. It achieved so much on such crappy hardware.

I've never played the last of us (I will eventually though!) and while a lot of the fans say they should let it end there, I still get the feeling they won't drop such a successful franchise so easily. And you might be right about jak. That was soooo long ago. And I agree, Jak 3 is one of the best games of all time IMO.
