That's kind of messed up, man,
-
I agree. It's very messed up.
-
Way to start a flame war:D
-
You're an unbelievable phallus.
-
Maybe if we stop ignoring the ugly truth, We can improve the safety of our schools. Most schools have zero security.
-
No, you're an unbelievable phallus for telling a nervous dad who is sending his kid to school. If you think this is the time or place to voice your concerns, you're wrong.
-
Maybe if we stop ignoring the ugly truth, We can improve the safety of our schools.
-
This doesn't help the problem or the awareness of the problem. We all heard about Newtown, what you're doing is fear mongering.
-
We have a reason to be afraid. Schools are not secure.
-
Fear does not justify fear mongering. I'll say it again, everyone here knows about Newtown. All you're doing is being a dick.
-
You just had to post that... didn't you?
-
Yup. we should probably do something about it wouldn't you say? "gun free school" sure worked well for sandy hook. Adam lanza was met with no resistance. 20+ children were slaughtered as they hid under tables.
-
Oh shut up. 99% of schools are gun free and remain un-slaughterd.
-
Until someone shoots them up, at which point they are able to kill many children. even a few shotguns locked in the principles office could save many lives.
-
Or endanger. Attack could get them first or kill the carriers. Or kids could get em

Edited by Funkbrotha10: 8/24/2013 11:46:00 PMAttackers or kids couldn't get to them if they are in locked weapons lockers. ( "HURR WHAT IF SOMEONE GETS THE KEY??" ) locked with a 5 digit electronic lock. To which only the principal knows the combination One thing is for sure. There was no resistance at sandy hook. And look what happened. I bet you anything. if you ask the ( surviving ) staff members of sandy hook if they wish they were armed. They would say yes.
-
They probably would. If the situation would turn out better, I do not know. Teachers aren't soldiers. Weapon training can only do so much. Schools are not like battlefields, they're full of easily panicked and confused children. A shootout would be messy; armed teenagers mistaking people for the attack, kids running into crossfire, stupid kids trying to take down teachers or use their weapons (once out of the locker), attackers being provoked into being more violent and taking hostages. Personally, I think it would fan the flames. Prevention is the best course. Stop insane kids from getting guns, and stopping them from getting near a school.
A shootout would be messy
No resistance is messy. 20+ children were slaughtered while huddling under tables and in closets.
-
Yes, I know, that's why I suggested prevention, or hell an evac or lockdown plan.
-
We won't be able to stop them all.
-
No, but nothing is ever foolproof is it?
-
What you don't understand is that I live in Florida, everyone here has a gun!
-
Florida? Guns are the least of your worries.
-
Who said I was worried about them?
-
What you SHOULD be worried about are the immortal jellyfish and the land-traversing sharks.
