I really can't see The Elder Scrolls Online staying P2P for long. Nights of the Old Republic went free after a while. Really the only paid MMO that can stay P2P is Wow and those other ones...EVE? Not a PC gamer so iffy on already existing P2P games.

  • I think you mean 'The Old Republic' - 'Knights of the Old Republic' are the two awesome RPGs that had their series ruined by the release of this game and should not be mentioned in the same breath of each other.

  • Star wars the old republic btw, knights of the old republic is an old school rpg. And yea EvE is basically the only other sub based MMO still around besides WoW. And.

  • And IMO, the only decent mmo left these days is EVE.

EvE sounds cool, but then you play it and it really isnt. I like reading about it, but it isnt that fun for me. Most MMO's just follow the same old tired formula, really hoping Everquest next can deliver on its promises, if it does it may just very well break the mould. Though I do find GW2 fun at points, even though playing at 15 fps isnt all that fun.

  • Where EVE shines is in the pvp, alliance wars area they call null sec ( about 50% of the galaxy size). EVE also can take a few months to even a year to be able to proficiently pvp.

  • Yea, I could never get past the few hours of grinding at the start. Which is kind of funny I played the grindiest mmo ever for 10 years. PvP is really interesting in that game, just getting to it sucks. Hence why I like too read about what happens in large scale battles in that game.

  • As they say EVE doesn't have a learning curve, its a cliff. And its also a harsh, unforgiving MMO. Scenario. Happens almost hourly too sadly Your a new pilot in EVE and was able to grind enough to buy your first battlecruiser and barely fit it. You take this shiny new toy to your first level 4 mission and it happens to be located one jump into low security space. You start to run the mission, all is fine until someone shows up on your grid. Next thing you know you are tackled and screwed. The attacker then convo's you asking for a ransom. And if you dont pay your dead. You cant pay so he kills your ship. The above is a example of how new players quit eve quickly. And yes a similar scenario happened to me.
