Ha! All the shit people deal with in their lives, and you think money is gonna be a concern?
I've got debt, I've got misdemeanors, I've got debilitating sicknesses and physical limitations due to a complicated birth. I'm on the verge of collapse....
And I've never been happier in my life. Great grades, amazing friends, steady job and an awesome school.
But wait, you said something about money, right? How it means something? Okay, that's cool. Go ahead, enjoy your money, just know that every moment you aren't really happy, that I am, because I live life with no regrets. I will look back on even the years when I was still an ignorant child, and say that I did everything I ever wanted to do.
Nothing stops me brudda, because that's what it means to live! To love and be happy.

(Which by the way, I really love my job, it should also be added to the list.) I don't need a lot of money to be happy. You can't survive without money, and if anyone ever implied that such a instance was ever an option would be a complete idiot, so I do hope you never thought that I would actually believe you don't need money in life. My point is that you don't need a lot of money to be happy. So long as you have a roof, some food, maybe a car and some people to love, you can make your own happiness through the experiences and interactions you create. Also, when was the last time you paid any money at all to sing? I never paid for my voice, it was free for me.
-
I'm not debating that you can't be happy without money. I'm saying you can be happier without having to worry about where the money is coming from.
-
OR You could learn to love life as it is, accept what happens, and do what makes you happy. I'm not worried about money. I can get money, and I can get it doing what makes me happy. I can work a horrible job painting houses again, or keep playing gigs with cats that make me smile from ear to ear. If you are honestly saying that you can't make yourself happy, then you must not be a happy person very often. You do spend the most time with yourself. You are who makes you happy.

HOLY CRAP! Things in life cost money?!?! What the actual -blam!-?!?!? My god you must be a -blam!-ing genius or something!
-
You said name ten things he enjoys doing. Not name ten things he enjoys doing for free.
-
Why do you think I did that? He named off his FAVORITE things.
-
I don't see the difference. Depending on how he goes about doing those things they can all cost barely anything to do. As long as he has a decent job then it really shouldn't be an issue to do anything on that list. Honestly you sound like someone that has never talked to anyone that doesn't make much money. A lot of happy people have low income jobs. Now money is obviously very useful, but it isn't the most important thing in life and it isn't what is going to determine who is the happiest person out there.
-
Never said it would determine who is happier. It's all about circumstances and apparently the kid is enjoying his life, so that's great. If you honestly sit there and say he wouldn't be happier if he had a substantial amount of money got transferred to his account for funding his hobbies, then I don't know what to tell you. It just makes life easier. A lot of people point out rich depressed people but that is normally due to their job and other circumstances. Some VERY rich people love their life and some VERY poor people love their life.
-
Honestly that is like the complete opposite point your OP is making. Also you seem to think that money fixes everything. Unfortunately that is far from true.
-
*Gets in trouble -more money =better lawyer *deathly ill - more money = better treatment I'm not saying it fixes anything and if you honestly think I was being serious in my OP, then you have a problem.
-
Nah, not really, I just started listing things. I don't really have favorites.
