Librarian left an imprint of herself on Requiem before she stranded herself on Earth. She had intended for the Ur-Didact's mind to be healed by the Domain so he could awaken to be the steward of humanity's ascension to the Mantle. Watchers are composed children, we don't know what Crawlers are though.

  • Librarian heavily implies that they are in Silentium:
Throughout, the hardest part was processing the human children. They had been formed into their own cadres, given their own defensive orders. Raised in times of continuous war, they seemed to understand what was about to happen better than their elders. I remember their wise eyes, unafraid, terrible.
Ah, I see. So if Watchers are children and Knights are adults... Crawlers are... elders?

  • I honestly couldn't say, we know that there were various sub-species of human even before the Forerunners devolved us so the 'elders' could've been very small. The Ur-Didact says that he asked for the chamanush (Riser's sub-species who were about a meter tall) to be preserved as teachers for children because they exhibited less aggressive traits than the hamanush (Chakas/modern day humanity).

True. I never did visualize Riser too well for some reason. While I had a clear image of Chakas and the gang, Riser was always just this kinda fuzz to me.

  • I sort of pictured Samwise Gamgee from LOTR... Not sure why, but since chamanush were essentially the equivalent to hobbits I associated his character traits a fair bit with Sam. :P
