Very. I live here, that isn't news. My dad built a SKS assault rifle for fun. every other household has a an M14 or some other high powered rifle. an AK-47 is not a surprise to an Alaskan.

The gun used was a [b]74[/b] not a 47 and both the 5.45 and 7.62 are not considered high power full rifle cartridges; but the still get the job done. I do agree that many Alaskan own high power rifles both semi autos and bolt actions. on a side note I'm going to be building a AK-74 for the fun of it.
