I have never played a Bioshock game's DLC before...looks like this will be my first.

You should have picked up BioShock 2's Minerva's Den. Better plot than the main game.

Still haven't finished Bioshock 2 itself...it's an okay game. Thought the first one was a lot better.

Edited by Tartan 118: 7/31/2013 5:35:07 PMThe first one is, in most regards, except gameplay. The funny thing is, my general philosophy is that gameplay is king, but I guess I'm a stickler for a good story and setting, because those usually keep me playing past mediocre gameplay. I should add that I think Bio1 > 2 for both story and setting and probably music too, but 2 > 1 for gameplay.

Oh boy, that part about setting and story trumping gameplay, no truer words have ever been said for Bioshock Infinite. God that gameplay is terrible, it's like you're a 12 year old boy with his dad's gun versus the entire United States Marine Corps.

Yup. It's presumably because Columbia is so much busier and more active than Rapture that there's little room for BioShock's more patient trap-setting. Also, Booker can't hold more than two guns at once. He was a mother-blam!-ing Pinkerton, for god sake.

I really hate FPS single player games that require you to only use 2 weapons if the prequels didn't. It makes no sense to me, let us have all the weapons dammit.

Brought so much more tactical choice into play. Like, I suddenly come across an encounter with a Big Daddy coming around the corner or splicers about to pop through a door. Tripwires and prox. mines, awaaaaay. That wouldn't even happen in Infinite. All I could do with my weapons is shoot things. To be fair, the Vigors all have trap secondaries, but that's not very imaginative; Bio2's upgraded Security Bullseye could call in a bot, for example.

Yeah, having those tactics available to you was amazing in those games. Being able to set traps while you had a little sister acquire ADAM from a nearby body felt awesome.
