No, it's a lack of religion. Although, some people preach atheism in the same way people preach Christianity or any other religion.

I do not agree that atheism necessarily implies non-religion. Buddhists, for example, might be both atheistic and religious. Same goes for some secular humanists.

I think what you're describing is that whole "spiritual" term people tend to throw around every now and then.

That's part of it, though a lot of "spiritual" people definitely do believe in deities.
