I'm pretty liberal and think the jury did its job well.
For the details: It isn't illegal to follow someone, and it isn't illegal to call them a thief. It IS illegal to attack someone, and Zimmerman was within his rights to protect himself.
I am NOT saying the situation was morally right. Zimmerman acted like a vigilante, and didn't follow some very sound advice. He should have made note of who Treyvon was and where he went, but avoided confrontation at all costs, leaving that for the police.
