    I disagree. The book makes major points on censorship. I actually just had to do an AP essay on censorship and how the book implements it. I guess everyone is entitled to their opinions.

    Beattie or Faber state that the public stopped reading on their own - censorship was a byproduct of the intellectual passivity of the people as opposed to an active intervention by the government. The book certainly makes some valid points about censorship, but it isn't the overarching theme of the book for me.
