Bungie will implement whatever makes them the most money. If marriage means 1 million subscribers (rather exaggerated) then you bet your ass it will be in.

I sincerely, sincerely, sincerely doubt that THAT many people will honestly give a flying -blam!- about MARRIAGE in Destiny, exaggerated or not. If it's honestly a selling point to them, that is pathetic and they do not belong. The most important thing to any Destiny player is the ability to play the -blam!-ing game.

Bungie will create what sells.
If it's honestly a selling point to them, that is pathetic and they do not belong.
What you describe as "belonging" seems very narrow minded. If there is any feature that can be added, albeit small and gimmicky, yet does not detract from the mass populace, why not add it? Lets say of subscribers played: 90% did not care, 7% preferred, 3% disliked then by majority it should be implemented to maximize overall playability that's what any logical game development company would do to make the game "playable."

  • Except that adding in something that does not make sense to the atmosphere or the game does take away to a certain unique quality and standard the game lives up to. Having marriage in Destiny would take more of the seriousness away and lead it into an overly-socialized silly multiplayer aspect. Bungie has said over and over again first and foremost, Destiny is a first-person shooter.
