I'm not familiar with the other case but I'd imagine the guy was arrested and tried for murder.
The only reason the Martin case blew up is because Zimmerman was released on the day of the shooting; it took a public outcry to get him charged.
Ultimately, the justice system disproportionately searches and incarcerated blacks at a far greater rate than white people, even when you take crime rates into account.
It may not be systematic racism in the actual legislature, but it is certainly systematic racism through stereotypes of those who do work in the industry.
That, and sentence handouts in the war on drugs are also disproportionately aimed at poorer people. Which is systematic targeting of poorer groups.

You mind explaining?

Nope. I written enough in several other threads. You can go look at those.

Edited by Section Ratio General: 7/17/2013 5:58:31 AMA simple explanation to someone asking for it will definitely increase your credibility. However, saying that you won't explain it because you've written more than enough in other threads, which you won't link to just destroys your credibility, which leaves the more responsible users having to rifle through all the mess just because you can't back up your claim. Really, a simple explanation will increase your credibility. Right now, when someone asks you for proof, or something, you reply with, "No, I will not.", which not only makes you look immature on the website, but it also proves that you can't debate properly, and you shouldn't go into threads of controversy if you have that mindset. tl;dr: Nut up, or shut up. The Nut up means you provide backing to your claim, and the Shut up part means that you shouldn't be part of controversial threads if you're going to act like an immature 12 year old in one.

Which threads? Can you link the post?

He won't. One example I can think of when it comes to systematic racism would be all those bills that Republicans come up with to limit minority turnout when it comes to voting.
-
Some of those bills were blithering obvious forms of systematic racism, others weren't necessarily racist but would lead to even greater levels of disproportionate voter turnout. That, and combined with GOP gerrymandering, *shudders*.

That's the way the cookie crumbles.
