I would like something like the Hunger games. A massive arena with various landscapes (desert, jungle, ect) and 20* players are dropped in at random locations and the one left standing wins. The official one could be once every week and the champion has to take part or they forfeit. You would also be able to play it casually whenever you want. *20 is just an example number, but it would be enough and not too many.
