That's what I think, too. The only issue is that everyone decided that they could fly and breathe fire too. So where did that part come from? And why did everyone jump onto that bandwagon?

They made it up, also the possibility of just being crazy fanatics.

That's what I'm saying though. It seems like a really big coincidence that all of these unrelated cultures decided that they should breathe fire and fly. I mean, if the fossil had wings, then that would give the flying part away, but the fire breathing part seems a bit far-fetched.

China most likely spread the rumors since they were travelling pretty extensively before most written history.
