It might have something to do with the fact that Destiny supports PS3, PS4, X Box 360, and X Box One, and even with dedicated servers in play now they are having to find what number provides the best experience for everyone with four different kinds of hardware with varying hardware from two different companies all in play.

  • that depends on whether ps3 and ps4 players are playing on the same server(or xbox360 and xb1 players respectively).

  • Uh, exactly - I agree with you - it would depend on that. It also depends on how good they can code to use the hardware. As programmers code in an SDK/IDE for a language / hardware combo they get better at it. So ya, so many variables in play means they have to be non-committal right now. I imagine will see experimenting with team size in the beta and more solid info on party size after the beta. That's what betas are for. Something Bungie has always known. (And hopefully 343 I will learn about for Halo 5 Lolz).
