How effective can Flash Drives be for consoles?

I'm getting a game later today that's going to take up at least 13 GBs of space, and i created as much space as i could on my regular standard edition, old 360 model HDD, and depending on if the game itself isn't able to be fit on my console HDD, i'd like to get a decent USB, i have one in mind that has 32 Gigs for $20 plus, but i don't know how well so much content would run on it. Tips?

Wouldn't it be even faster than installing it on the hard drive? Flash memory is much faster. Unless the console just doesn't utilize it well.

Get yourself a new card; best not to go above 16GB. EDIT - Now has a 32GB limit. Stick it in the xbox and format it (Uses FAT32 file system). Game on.

      • I would get a Disc rather than flash drive for games. Loading time is shit all with a flash drive. It's faster to just run it on the disc.

        • I'm using a 16GB and a 4GB on mine right now and it's done me well. Saves and profiles on the 4GB; content on the 16. Personally I like using Hard Drives though.

You'll need a bigger flashdrive if the game takes up 13 GB. You can only select one storage device to save the game data in. You can't split the game data between the two and have the game still working with all your saves.
