seem to look more like insects and the xenomorphs from aliens.

They do resemble insect/xenomorphs for sure, but I noticed while looking through various photos of them they closely resemble existing enemies. One is buying just like a Cabal without armor, saw one with 4 arms like the fallen, and the "leader" very closely reassembled a fallen captain without usual armor. Perhaps they are infected/transformed beings if other races. If they do in fact play as the Flood, then we're gonna have some crazy, creepy, close quarter battles, that I look forward to!

not one ive seen looks like ether to me , so if you show me ill give you a straight up opinion , but the fact to me is bungie does not seem to be a one trick pony ,and it would be incredibly cheap of them to make them like enemies from halo . i mention insects and xenomorphs for a reason , and that reason is their name , The Hive . this implies a hierarchy akin to a bee hive or ant nest , and certain classes handle certain task , the workers maintain the hive and the soliders protect it , drones and the queen the mate with.
