• What's the point to living longer anyway? There's really nothing good to it for the average person. Those years you're losing will probably be spent in some shit hole anyway.

...but at least you're alive. Then my senior citizen friends and I can all laugh and point at all the former smokers and say, "hey, look at that loser over there. Already dead and gone and they were only 60! What a dope!"

  • Rather die at 65 than live to be 85 shitting myself and forgetting all my friends and family.

  • By the time you're 85 that probably won't be an issue.

  • Maybe, maybe not. That's how it's been and how it is now though.

  • In the past 13 years we've discovered more and made more advancements than we have in all of time before that. I have hopes that this wave of advancement will continue, and by the time I'm 85, diseases like that will be suppressed or even eradicated.

  • But again it's only hopes and dreams now. Just like cures for cancer.

  • It is only hopes and dreams. Everything is, until it's a reality. And if a cure for every form of cancer was made, I doubt it'd be released for public availability. No, no, it's much more profitable to have people going back for treatment.

  • I'm saying playing your life out in hopes that they will have it is silly. You could use that to justify smoking a pack a day. In 30 years they may have the cure for lung cancer or simply clone your organs and replace the bad the ones. Smoke/drink away!

  • And by then you're so -blam!-ed up you'll probably end up dying before you can get "cured".

  • Good let them kill themselves. No different then driving without a seat belt or riding a bike without a helmet. It's their choice. If it backfires it effects no one but them

  • If they really want to do it they will anyways. Even with laws people will do it. Just look at alcohol prohibition, the war on drugs, or even seat belt laws. Even with penalties they will do it so let them. I think we should get rid of seat belt laws and only make them mandatory up until you're 18. If are able to die for your country and support freedom but you aren't allowed the choice of whether or not you wear a seat belt? Seems rather odd to me.

  • Seat belts save lives. Maybe the life of somebody who will go one to do something productive before they do drugs, -blam!- up their lives, and die from whatever stupid idea they get while high. That's my main gripe, that they're not doing anything productive with their lives. Pot, for instance, eventually makes it impossible for you to do anything without a hit, or toke, or whatever it's called today. And eventually it becomes impossible to do anything even with pot. What the -blam!- are they doing with their lives like that? They're not accomplishing or benefiting anything or anyone. I agree that whatever they do that kills or injures them is entirely their fault, but it irritates me that they do all that, die, and accomplish nothing for it. Nobody benefits, nobody gets anything out of it, they could have done something great with the lives they threw away to feel good.

  • Too much of anything is bad. Also only 1% of people who smoke pot smoke it everyday. The people who can't quit have no self control. The same thing with emotional eaters they have something wrong and feel they need to eat a lot to feel satisfied. I have 2 friends who I used to hang out with and all they do now is get high. Big whoop. They have no self control. I have other friends who only smoke it in their free time and don't blow and my friends off and I hang out with them. Pot's not addicting like cigarettes where if you go an hour without smoking you get the shakes, nausea, and vomiting. The same could be said about people who are "in love" and blow off there friends and then get dumped. They didn't nothing for society. Playing video games does nothing for society, bitching on this forum or facebook or where ever doesn't do anything for society. More and more people are smoking pot so of course there are going to be losers. Same as how this site has doctors, lawyers, and neck beard virgins. Same as how religion has radicals. Saying pot makes you lazy and antisocial because you know a few people is like saying all cops are assholes because you know a few in your town.

  • The difference is, video games and bitching on the internet don't get you so addicted you can't do anything else. Bad analogy.

  • Actually yeah there are people addicted to video games like it's there life. And the way I see some people post on here and social media, they post like they got a superiority complex and r genius ex. illuminati shit. And you ignored the rest of my arguments too.

What arguments? You didn't say anything else I disagreed with. The number of people who get addicted to video games the same way people are addicted to pot isn't that high. It's meant to get you to keep playing, but it is not meant to get you hooked like that. Neither is the internet. It's not like anybody here couldn't function at all without Bnet.

  • Sorry I'm used to people taking one thing outta my post and ignoring the rest. As for addiction coffee is more addicting than pot and I assume pop/soda would be too with the caffeine. Once you start drinking it some people get into the habit of it while others drink it ever once in a while and others can stop drinking it cold turkey. With video games there are over at least a dozen people who die every year from not being able to leave a video game alone and sit down for so long they get a blood clot in their ass or sleep deprivation. No one, as far as I know, have sat in one spot smoking for so long they got a clot in their bum or deprived themselves of sleep just to get high. You might bring up something like how pot can impair driving but out of the 4-500 accidents involving marijuana, 2/3's alcohol is present, meaning they just left a party or something.
