There comes a point where it stops being defence ;P Although in Taekwon Do moves are made to break bones and stuff!

Yea true but for me asking as legally it is self defence I am happy and completely willing to do series and permanent damage if I can. And I have been in a situation more then once that it is required and I have done just that.

Yes one guy came onto me and gf on the way home from movies. He got a a collection of broken bones. And may never walk again legally I could still press charges as he had attack my gf and then me .
