Ender's Game is one of my favorite books.
Dune series
Foundation series
A Song of Ice and Fire series (Better known as Game of Thrones)
Also, Terry Pratchett's Discworld books are absolutely hilarious. They essentially do to the fantasy genre what Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy did to the science fiction genre, except they're BETTER.

Sam I think thud of the fifth elephant. But his long earth and long war(reading that now) is quite good. As for death who does not like a chapter that rides a pale horse and speaks with caps lock on.
