  • No, people gave Bungie so much crap for their habit of backtracking...so an entire mode dedicated for backtracking would just be unacceptable.

    at what point in their halo series did they develop a mission that overused an environment? Surely there were several very large and open locations in halo 1, but then you were exploring places you hadn't gone or didn't have access to before. In the event you're talking about odst (since i haven't played the game, I wouldn't know), it was created by a very small team so it isn't surprising.
