Safety is one less thing to think about when in SHTF moments. Guns, like my Sig Saucer, that dont have an external manual safety have numerous active/passive internal safeties which perform the same function. On a Glock or my Sig, the only way to fire it is to fully depress the trigger.

glocks are drop safe and have multiple internal safety features. they also have the "safe action trigger" design, where the trigger must be squeezed to release the firing block. it's less to fumble with or worry about in a high stress situation. people can and have been killed because fumbling with external controls. the author is cray cray.
