I know[i] exactly[/i] what you mean, but seeing as how I love AC and can replay it over and over again I don't think I mind something that is so similar.
edit: As for the "why does he have more advanced tech if its a prequel?" In AA he was under equipped and only had access to a stripped down Batcave and in AC Bruce had no intention of doing anything in that game. He was kidnapped and forced to make do with an extra batsuit and scarce supplies.

They even make a point of it in AC actually, he says that he wears less gear because that heavy gear slows him down too much.
