They do know... that a lot of computers come with a camera and bult in mic right? So if they are trying to watch us then they are probably doing it right now. I feel sorry for the guy who has to sit infront of a screen watching some guy watch p.rn... What's stupid is if they do this to a game console, what do they expect to get out of it? Do they want to watch our reactions while we play video games?

Actually, it violates the user agreement formed by the purchase of a PC for them to activate those remotely, or copy data from your PC without permission. That is why when an application crashes it asks you if you want to inform Microsoft, or just deal with it. No such thing on a Mac though, they keep record of all your information. The same will go for Xbox One, So just put a piece of tape over the Camera and Mic, to black out view, and muffle noises.

Yep, cause noone can watch me play video games without permission, the idea of recording us is stupid.... "You know what will really help America? We should watch people play video games!!!"

I think the Patriot Act might supersede stuff like that.

Hopefully not when a contract is already in place. Or did you mean supersede black electrical tape? Because if it does, the government needs to share it's secret knowledge of physics.

The article implies that it might only apply to your calls on skype, but I don't see the point in even getting it if you have to take measures to disable that.
