The only thing that's worse than him is the threads where people who are complaining about him, but refuse to mute him. Most people who don't mute state that they enjoy the vanilla experience of Bnet, but if you're not enjoying it, then why don't you just use the tools?

Then we are safe, for now.

Which is kind of the point of the new site tools. The old system had a couple of dozen moderators attempting to decide what what good/bad/acceptable/unacceptable. We couldn't be everywhere, all of the time, and so the new system means that there are potentially thousands of "eyes and ears" that are looking at and in every topic. Many choose not to report, mute or hide... which is fine. But the more people who step up, the less crap there will be, and it won't be around for as long either. But, that's all dependent on those thousands of members. If they don't give a crap? Then the site and forums will reflect that.

They have been reflecting that recently. Which in general, as you said, is their prerogative. What I don't understand is why they complain about it while choosing not to use the tools out of some principle I can't wrap my head around. When members step up and use the tools, it has the exact same result as it does when you guys were able to just ban them. It's just easier to say the tools are dumb or the mods are lazy.

"It's better to light a candle than curse the darkness." But complaining about the darkness is much easier and a far more common response.
