1) Look at Sony 2) I doubt AMD will have finished parts 3) It means nothing, because graphically games will be identical 4) XB1 software is running in virtual machine, takes away performance. XB1 games will take advantage of all 8 cores, so there is a deficiency that must be filled. 5) Games are still in development, so may well not be fully optimised. Only option would be to brute force things. 6) Look at Sony. 7) Look at Sony. 8) Since when were/why AMD livid? Incredibly bias "argument" from the circle of sony jerkoffs. Go home.

  • 1. Sony devs confirmed that they were using PS4s or comparable kits. 2. The console is coming out in 5 months, if you don't think they already have millions of units produced and shipping...lol. 3. Yes, but the PS4 will be loading GDDR5 RAM instead of the faulty DDR3 with eSRAM that the One has to use. 4. Eight cores? What? 5. Optimization? Need to be optomized so much they require to be run on a last-gen OS? 6.? 7.? 8. Well considering Nvidia is a direct rival, wouldn't you be mad?

  • 1) Could easily be lying. Define comparable. They did exaggerate the truth with used games having NO DRM 2) Very easily. 5 months is a very long time. Don't know, don't post. 3) Faulty? What do you mean faulty? Also RAM =/= graphical fidelity. You're a moron and you're making it up as you go along. GDDR5 simply refers to the speed of the RAM. It won't be as much faster as you think, as no manufacturers have started properly developing RAM kits for it. So the RAM will have a high latency, slowing it down. DDR3 has been out for a while, and quality RAM kits with lower latencies will probably be better. RAM simply refers to the speed in which objects can be dumped in or out of memory. PS4 can load objects faster, but I don't see £1000 gaming PCs with 1333mhz DDR3 struggling to run modern games. 4) X1 has 8 CPU cores. The processors MS were using did not have as many cores, so were unable to be utilised to their fullest potential. It's a well known fact that modern GPUS only get massive frame rates by essentially brute forcing frames through raw power (we're not saying the PS4 is powerful here. It has an APU, about 2-4 times less powerful than GPUs in high end PCs.) So you need these more powerful parts to compensate for the lack of processing cores. Instead of processing on CPU, the games were processing on GPU. Graphical fidelity will remain constant, because they will have been developed with dev kits, and there is no point making a game look really good over a period taking up almost a year, then deleting it all. Running the X1 software in virtual machine is also very inefficient, as windows 7 and its processes need to be maintained in the background. 5) X1 was in development WELL before 8 even started to be in development. 6) If you can't realise that Sony isn't a lovely company that has never lied, existing with the sole potential of wiping your arse, you're a -blam!-ing idiot. 7) See above. 8) Not really. The PCs may not have even be selected by MS, much more probably staff at E3. Fact of the matter is that nVidia have more powerful GPU parts, so if Microsoft wants to make their games look more finished then they are, they damn well can. Explain why AMD hasn't suddenly pulled out of buisness with MS? MS are paying them, so they can do whatever the hell they want. SO, to summarise, you are an ignorant, deluded fanboy who is blindingly following statements that may well be lies, taking everything out of proportion by using facts you are making up as you go along. Don't bother to respond, my brain is hurting from the stupidity.

Sorry you took it this personally. Try not being furious next time you want to make a decent argument. 1. Im looking? If you mean they were doing this to, they wern't. They have been confirmed to be using dev kits, at least for 'The Witness'. And Im assumin they are usin it for the rest also. 2. AMD does have "finished parts". 3. Haha no. Sorry but no.. I like consoles, but the One or The PS4 is sustantially and more importantly noticeably inferior to something as power as the Gtx700 series of Graphics cards. Admitedly the architecture of the consoles are not completely identical to pc, but if you were to go buy pure processing power; The One can process 1.2 Teraflops, whereas something like a Gtx 780, or titan is cabable of running 4.5 teraflops. Thats a substantial boost and you cannot argue if they were using one of those, that the gameplay we saw can look that good. 4,5,6,7: Pure speculation, hush now. 8. Because If one of my biggest backers were using my biggest competitors hardware and not our own, dont you think they might be a tag peeved? This is Youtube comment standard arguing skills. I am dissapoint. Also, fanboy rage much. funnily enough; I am more than likely going to be buying a One so there goes your clownshoes whining about sony jerkoffs.

  • I'm just going to respond to the third one, seeing as you are making illogical statements backed up by what you think happens. How do you know AMD's parts are finished? And as for 8, MS are paying AMD, so they can do what they want. 3) Modern GPUs essentially brute force things through the use of massive computing power. They are awfully optimised. The X360 had the equivilant of a radeon 1870. A radeon 3970 cannot run anything from the past 2 years. This is due to optimisation for specific parts. That is why the X1 cannot run X360 games, and the PS4 cannot natively run PS3 games. It's like saying you want to get the number 2. For a console, that would be 1+1, made to be 1+1 for the parts in said console. Or for a PC, 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+n-n-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2. That's an exaggeration, but it illustrates my point. I don't see how this is "fanboy rage." I simply feel pretty pissed at just how blind and sheepish people are. Microsoft = automatically evil & lying. Sony = automatically telling the truth. THAT is fanboyism, my dear. And i'm not buying either console.

Dont see why you need to get "Pretty pissed" lol. The reason you feel pissed maybe is that you dont actually know anything about how this this industry is run. Also your taking this severely personally why I dont know as you are little more than a consumer and have no significant investetment or stake in the industry. In short, you have no right or reason to be annoyed. I already said I was going to buy the One (and maybe the PS4 too). Dont see how, in any respect, anyone in this thread is being "blind an sheepish" except for you maybe as you feel the need to defend against what I said with Hypothetical sillyness. When I saw what you wrote in your defence of your original argument I wasn't even going to post back and let some other poor sod waste his time with you, however It would be a disservice to leave such a person ignorent so; "Modern GPUs essentially brute force things through the use of massive computing power" compared to system used years ago maybe, however you didn't seem to undetstan what the difference between 1.2 and 4.5 TF. Do you seriously have any idea how much difference in performence those two peices of Hardware have? If anything the only reason that the games are even similer is because these games are One2PC ports. If this is One gameplay, expect to see a highly noticeable difference in Graphical fidelity. Optomising for PC is a relatively simple task considering (I would know). And in regards to your view on what a Microsoft can do and what they cant (ogod this almost funny, parden my cynicism) Of course Microsoft are paying AMD, but dont you think its slightly bad PR to be caught USING their competitor's hardware?! If I were AMD I would think not only does this show a breakdown of comminication between the two, but also that Microsoft are not confidendent in there Partners hardware. I almost regret writing this wall, as but here's the best part, maybe you should have checked the original post for edits, or other posts as Microsoft confirmed Xbox One games were, infact for the most part running on One Dev kits with working UI's and dashboards. Systems running 'Lococycle' were the only ones running PC because they were not done porting to Xbox One yet. "It was their decision to do it and no other Xbox One game was running on PCs" great to know. Still, excited to see what pc versions look like. Pity Ryse is an exclusive.. Edit: Alpha got it in less words lol..

OliG. Sorry but You clearly dont know what you are talking about, he made some valid statements. "Modern GPUs essentially brute force things through the use of massive computing power. They are awfully optimised" lol... Stop shitposting.
