Aren't the factions more like companies?
Dead Orbit makes ships.
FOTC makes weapons.
I don't know the others but my guess is
FWC makes weapons.
New Monarchy makes vehicles.
Seven Seraphs makes armor.
Osiris makes armor.

Edit: oh i see u guess about this, i think that all factions have her functions,like weapons vehicles armors and ships,or in other words all factions have ships and other things. Imagine an Osiris ship,like a fliying pyramid :D
