Best theory i heard was that the bandaged man is an illusion caused by by PTSD, and everything he does is what BB is actually doing. And when the bandaged man unwraps his face, its going to be BB. It was compared to Fight Club.

He's riding in a car, the car crashes, and then suddenly BB is riding on a horse with Ocelot? He just left his friend behind?
