Yahtzee's Next Gen Buyers Guide.
Lol, Yahtzee is at it again. He gives us his views on the next gen consoles and why it is all a huge laughing stock these days.

can't-sole is so right. This generation of consoles are looking like crap with the xbox one on the forefront of destruction.

When everything around me is confirming my preconceived notions, I have to wonder whether what I believe is actually the truth or if I'm thinking exactly like the communities I associate with (as a result of choosing to spend time being active in them) and fulfilling some sort of confirmation bias. In this case though, I'd have to say that as of yet these "next-gen" consoles have done absolutely nothing to warrant their purchase by anyone - except for them collectively agreeing to hold a few games hostage until we do. When an industry becomes that insular and hostile towards better ways of doing business (and listening to their customers), they are in for a long, slow decline to the bottom. I'll stick with my custom built PC from three years ago (that is still more powerful than the Xbox One or the PS4 will be) while the supposed "giants" of the industry figure out how to grow up.

3 RepliesWait so the Xbox One only has HDMI Out? What the hell? So on top of a new headset, new controller, new racing wheel, new games, Xbox One versions of my favorite 360 games, forced Xbox Live, and a better internet I also am required to by a new TV because mine wasn't made in the past 10 years. Whoever made these decisions for the one needs to be fired because they're honestly not mentally capable to understand anything beyond a two year old level.

Playstation is like Call of Duty, refusing to do anything new or interesting. Xbox is like Halo changing drastically and and not in a good way. I really want to build a PC now...

He made a pretty good point about none of the consoles looking very impressive so far. But then again, I guess that makes a lot of sense because the bulk of the information will always be revealed at or after E3. I kind of wish he had done a game review instead, but whatever, I'm happy to always watch him... definitely the best part of my Wednesdays! :D
