From my understanding of Mosquitos, they only feed once since the females need the protein to create their eggs. They wouldn't feed multiple times from several people nor would they mix the blood they drank with another person's.

  • Tis a good answer amigo, but my thought train was based on how West Nile is transmitted by them to people. I was wondering if it could work the same with a more potent illness. And, sometimes, when they feed, they get interrupted, and continue to look for another food source, such as, another person in the vicinity.

  • If they are interrupted and feed another person, then there's no harm. The virus is in the gut, it hasn't spread to the rest of the body yet. Not in that short of a time, provided that the virus can even survive and escape the gut.
