So long as this is a remake and not a re-skin, I'm all for it. eg. Updated gameplay, marriage sytem, expressions etc.

what I meant was I just don't want them, to just put an new coat on the old game. Keep the formula, the story and everything else the same, but change the models and animations, which I've realised they'll be doing anyway... so never mind.

It's not stupid to update mechanics. Why would you go through the effort of updating graphics without tweaking the core experience? If it's just a reskin, give me one reason why anyone who owns Fable 1 would buy the same game over again. I didn't buy CEA for the same reason. I already had the game. Making the same game visually prettier is a gimmick just to wring another $40 out of you. Any buyers of reskins are suckers.

Alright that's a good point and i respect that, but can a developer actually pull that off and not pull away from the original experience. I highly doubt it.

Again, if they can't provide any incentive for original game owners to part with their cash for a reskin [i]other[/i] than HD graphics alone, the game shouldn't sell well. New players would have a decent reason to buy a strict reskin. Old players shouldn't, besides nostalgia that so overwhelms logic and having too much cash to blow.

Well personally i still own a copy of Fable yet i cant play it because my xbox original is broken and playing it on 360 sucks and is laggy as hell. I want to experience Fable again the way it was. If they add way to much to it then its not the fable i want to experience again.
