I like your idea. I just think it would be hard to find customers. Most people who buy PC parts individually know how to assemble them. The second idea you had seems more promising though; I would do the same if I had more money.

The idea behind it would be to show people who want a PC that having it built saves money. For example, I'd simply show them two PC's, one built and the other one bought as-is. I'm not really targeting the computer-savvy.
