I like the idea of forging a ship, but I used to spend hours messing with the vehicle editor in Spore so I'm down with creating my own look.

You can make vehicles when you get to the stage before the galactic stage, the global stage, I think? You can make space ships too of course.

It's really fun, it's on the PC. You start out making a single-called organism and then you make it's evolved form which a large multiple-celled organism (such as ourselves), and then there's a tribal stage. After that I think you start a civilization where you have to gain control of the world you live on, and then there's a space stage where you can explore the galaxy.
