Your not really missing much. Yes its nostalgic for many people (including myself) but its really the same thing over and over again, not to mention that the game play is nothing but grinding and other repetitive actions. People will try and tell you that there is some complex battle system with stats and stuff and while there may be, none of it matters. My 10 year old self was able to beat the old games will no problem just by mashing buttons.

Edited by TrussingDoor: 6/2/2013 5:07:11 AMIt's really never too late to give it a try. Admittedly it's probably harder to get past the cute imagery if you don't have nostalgia to increase the appeal, but the gameplay is solid and entertaining.

I'll be all right. You keep enjoying it though. As a game series, it's lasted one hell of a long time.

Yeah, trust me if you're over 14 you probably wouldn't be able to get into it without some kind of nostalgia.
