Names, numbers and lucky stars. Release date theory.
Bungie will show of some gamaplay from Destiny at E3 (which will be awesome) and hopefully they'll give us a hint at when the game will be released.

And here's why:
Destiny is almost definitely not coming out this year because it's being published by Activision who as you all know are also publishing CoD Ghosts which will be released later this year so it would be idiotic to release Destiny around the same time.
I don't think we'll have to wait until Fall 2014 though. It can't more than 2 Bungie days away! And a new CoD will probably release around that time too.
Which brings me to the conclusion that it will probably be released spring 2014. Not too early and not too late. It has to be around the time when people start getting bored of the games they got for Christmas which should be around February/May.
The date I predict is based of an interesting connection with numbers and letters.
What is the [b]2[/b]nd letter of the alphabet? [b]B[/b]
[b]21[/b]st letter of the alphabet? [b]U[/b]
[b]14[/b]th letter of the alphabet? [b]N[/b]
[b]2-21-14 = B-U-N[/b]
Which means that at [b]9[/b] minutes and [b]5[/b] seconds past [b]7[/b] on [b]Febrary 2[/b]nd [b]2014[/b] the date and time will spell:

Belated congrats on the math/pentathlon, but the pessimist in me has to wonder. Do you think Bungie has reached a point where they trust their fans will come up with ridiculous number/word/letter/symbol conspiracy associations and then just cherry pick the best ones from the forums? Its kind of like how I make the keys for grading my exams by skimming off the smart kids tests first... Even if so that still means this one was cherry picked due to its quality. Still a complement.

The Destiny beta is coming out 2 weeks after E3, and we all know Beta's come out at least 2 months before the full game. so Judging by this E3 is this month. the lastest it would come out would September to October. cause Destiny beta is Suppose to last 2 months in total. that should give Bungie about 2 months to fix glitches. and there was going to be 25 mail sacks. and we have reached 15 or 16. one every week. so I don't 2014 will end at exactly 25. way above that. if you reconsider your math you will see the release date is pushing this year. not some crap load of numbers that mean nothing. Good day lad.

On the Xbox 360 marketplace, in the coming soon section, Destiny and Call of Duty ghosts are right aside each one another. This may imply they are coming out in a small span apart from each other.

I give you props for putting in all the hard work into your theory (the whole 37 thing is a bit out there though) but I think most likely they will release Destiny sometime at the end of this year. Bungie likes playing mind games and puzzles with the community so if they wanted us to figure out the release date then they would of left us a bread crumb at least. They also have been giving us a bit more information lately which leads me to believe they aren't going to wait till next year to release the game. Plus I also think they would release the game during a good market period in the end of the year like most games due because of Christmas and all that. But if you happen to be right then you can tell me "i told you so" and you will be worshiped by the community as if you were a god.
