Co-op Splitscreen
Hi, I've been looking at Destiny (Or should I say drooling at it) for the past couple months. Watching a these things unfold makes lots of questions appear in your mind. The biggest one for me is co-op splitscreen. I would really like to know your views on the thought. So tell me what you think then answer the poll.

I really hope so, just have it so your buddy can log onto his account from your system as well.

Of course, Bungie is one of the few devs out there that is actually aware of the fact that people like to play games with their buddies on the couch.

2 RepliesI'd rather like it, if the game had no splitcreen coop. I think it's much more enjoiable, looking at your own whole television and have chat enabled. Makes the feeling more science-fictional if anybody is communicating over radio.

3 RepliesIt should be supported yes, high hopes that Bungie will do split-screen ... they have done in each Halo game they made so why not in Destiny? Also a great emphasis is on co-op [strength of pack and all that] so it would make sense. To anyone saying oh it'll ruin single player experience - my question is how? If you don't like split screen don't do it yourself but why should that stop others? If you want a single player experience play it on your own? xD

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't destiny basically a MMO? If so, split screen would certainly be a technical issue, thus you cannot compare it to something local like Halo's split screen.

I don't see why anyone would say no. If you don't want to use it then don't. Your gameplay isn't effected at all unless you play splitscreen... but if you said no, then you wouldn't, right? Wait, what?

Co-op splitscreen is a handy feature for kids who don't have the money for two consoles. Personally, I wouldn't touch splitscreen, but I don't see how having it added would hurt those who don't use it.

Fortunately, Bungie seems not to mind doing coop. Unfortunately, it seems most of the game industry does mind. For whatever reason most games don't have coop, and that's a disservice to the gamer. I can't tell you how many games I saw that I thought my girlfriend might enjoy playing with me, only to see it doesn't have coop and move on.

While I play way worse in splitscreen than in fullscreen. I still love it for the simplicity; a friend comes over, I get an extra gamepad - we play! :)

1 ReplyI don't know why there wouldn't be co-op splitscreen at this point in any big multiplayer game. Seems like kind of a must-have, not to say I don't like it, I love it, but I don't think anyone should worry about it not existing in Destiny :)

CO-OP is awesome. My wife and I always play together in Halo and Call of Duty. So Destiny would've been nice if CO-OP is included!

Bungie has always been good at enabling split-screen CO-OP for their games. So I think that it's a safe bet that they will include it.

1 ReplyYes. Please have splitscreen. What would really make it cool would be to be able to sign into an account from any console. That way I can play at home then continue at my friends house. Even cross platform accounts stored at bungie so I could play split-screen even if my friend uses a different console. So basically just a universal save-state

I'm expecting four player local co-op. my friends and I get together and play halo and cod this way all of the time. I would be so happy if bungie could put this in here!!! Please!!

I'd like to see it. I want to get my mom to play Destiny so having split screen would really help.
