internet connection required constantly
kinectishit 1st party/3rd party shovelware oriented console like the Wii was.
kinect not built in.
no backwards compatibility... which wouldn't be hard. just make it able to stream from a disc, and use 12x speed Blu-ray combo drives instead of sh*tty burner only builds.
overall microsoft is going to sh*t like the Wii did.

Apart from spontaneous combustion, there's a pretty simple reason why neither the XB1 nor PS4 are backwards-compatible: they use a completely different architecture than their predecessors. The 360 and PS3 were a headache because they forced developers to make games for proprietary architectures. Not so with the new generation: these use x86, just like PC's, and since it's all a standard architecture, it's much easier to develop for. I think that was your only legitimate complaint.

because internet always on is a good thing, right? what if a storm happens? if the shovelware is supposed to be software integrated atleast make it built into the system so you can disable it, instead of building a console around the marketing of sold seperately shovelware. i don't think you had a Wii if you don't know the legitimacy of the shovelware complaint. maybe 10 games(mostly first party, too) even worth playing on the entire system.
"For single-player games that don't require connectivity to Xbox Live, you should be able to play those without interruption should your Internet connection go down. Blu-ray movies and other downloaded entertainment should be accessible when your Internet connection may be interrupted. But the device is fundamentally designed to be expanded and extended by the Internet as many devices are today."
1. Not the case. 2. Has the feature, but it's in no way forced on you. Use your controller. 3. You want your Xbox on top of your TV? Interesting, I personally wouldn't but if that's your thing. 4. Your 360 spontaneously combusts when you purchase the Xbox One?
