So Shepard or Master Chief?
I personally think Shepard > MC
But tell me what you think, and if you think MC > Shepard then tell me why you're wrong?

1 ReplyOkay so I'll tell you why YOUR wrong. I'm a big fan of ME but a bigger fan of Halo. Chief has had more of a star studded military life than Shepard has. Chief has stopped Humanity from being a thing if the past...three times and nearly single handedly while Shepard has saved Earth once and had a Team with him. Chief is smarter, faster, stronger and way cooler. Don't get me wrong, I like Shepard but he will lose against Chief. Shepard is a Hero. John-117 is a Legend

Chief's character is very well explored in Halo 4, but in the other games, he's quite a shallow character. ME1/2 Shepard doesn't exactly develop either, but that's actually a good thing for the purpose of roleplaying. In ME3, Shepard actually becomes his own character due to autodialogue, and this results in some truly abysmal moments. By virtue of ME3 turning Shepard into an utter moron, Master Chief.

Chief gets shit done, no real questions asked. Like a badass. Shepard bangs his through the galaxy (and the decks of the Normandy), asking all sorts of questions, getting to know everyone and helping in lots of little knit-picky situations/fetch missions. If I've gotta have one to save the galaxy? Chief. Durr. Can you imagine if Chief was calling the shots on the Citadel there at the end?

Threads like these all depend on scenario. You could obviously give the Master chief a fuel rod with over shields and he would be powerful. But if Shepard had a M-920 Cain Nuclear rocket launcher it would be over before it starts.

2 RepliesThat depends. If we're talking their newest iterations (ME3 Shepard vs. Halo 4 Chief) Shepard was better. At making me feel like a complete and utter brick. Seriously, he's a fracking piece of sh1t character that doesn't develop at all. I get he's supposed to be a player avatar, but he doesn't develop whatsoever. "BUT GUIZE LOOK AT TEH SCENE WHERE SHEP SAIS HE IS JUST A SOLDIER AND WHAT ABOUT GODCHILD CATALYST" -Each scene with the "I'M JUST A SOLDIER BOO HOO" lasts all of five seconds and has no lasting impact -Scene with kid was the most forced piece of sh1t I have ever had the displeasure of watching, and didn't make sense "BUT ROACH GODCHILD IS SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT ALL THE PEOPLE SHEPARD COULDN'T SAVE AND MAC WALTER'S ARTISTICAL INTEGRITY-NESS" Is that why he teleports from building to building in the intro then?

I choose neither because they're both human machines that show little emotion, Shepard because he/she is simply an avatar (until ME3) and Chief because the games make him a robot instead of a human being in a suit.

2 RepliesAs far as character development and feels for character's well being, Shepard. Hand to hand combat, MC wins if Shep is pure soldier. If Shep's a Vanguard, or anything else really, he wins in a landslide because of his powers.
