To bring attention to this for anyone interested:
The UK price for the special edition is now confirmed to be £64.99, and is exclusive to Game. The collector's edition currently has no set price, but you can put down a £20 deposit towards it already. Speculation puts the cost at at least £100, with a cap of £160. I will update this if information about the price arises.

you have to get the collectors edition for a garage!? i'd understand if it was the special edition but i think it's a bit much to make it exclusive to the collectors edition, the special edition doesn't have anything interesting and the garage would actually make it worth the money.

The collector's edition is for a larger garage in one of the properties you wouldn't normally be able to purchase in the regular edition. You'll also immediately have this garage and those vehicles off the bat with the collector's edition, rather than having to buy a house which has one. Hope that clarifies it.
