The first guy was a Al-Qaeda leader wanted in multiple countries for terrorism, so the fact that this isn't mentioned brings this whole article to shame.

Oooohhhhhhh! OP didn't do his research!
-
The fact that you think being merely wanted is reason enough for execution brings your whole thought process and belief structure to shame.
-
So if your sitting in a room with an Al-Qaeda leader, it'll be okay for soldiers to lob grenades at you cause you're collateral damage?
-
Knowingly? No (well, depending on the circumstances but let's keep things simple). They did not do this knowing. Intelligence said that the other people by Anwar were also Al-Qaeda. they were misidentified. It is a terrible thing, yes, but that kind of stuff happens. And has happened for a century.

That's why they know the victims names right? But they did it nonetheless. Anwar is also American. You can't just bomb the hell out of your own citizens, even if they're breaking the law. They justified the child's death because "he should've had better parents". They knew the kid, his dad, and what his dad might have done, and you're trying to say that they didn't know they were present at the scene?
That's why they know the victims names right?
They found out after. Not that difficult to understand.
But they did it nonetheless.
The intel was wrong.
Anwar is also American. You can't just bomb the hell out of your own citizens, even if they're breaking the law.
Yes. Yes you can. He was a terrorist wanted by multiple countries for terrorism and was a direct threat. We kill terrorists not born in America all the time without a trial and without bringing them back. Why should the fact he was born in America change how we handle it? Protip: Being born in America doesn't make you more or less dangerous. It is asinine to suggest that after we finally found him and he started running away from the U.S. that we should have instead risked lives to capture him and the money to bring him all the way back to the U.S. rather than kill him at no risk. He ran away. He was in a foreign country wanted for terrorism. We took care of him. And now the world is a little bit safer.
And has happened for a century.
Slavery happened for several centuries, that didn't make it right. This is a pathetic defense and you know it.

Still shouldn't kill U.S. citizens.

Anwar was hiding in Yemen. We kill terrorists who are threats to us that were born in other countries. Why would we risk lives trying to capture this person instead of kill him just because of where he was born? Fun fact: Where you were born does not make you any less or more dangerous. He was a terrorist. He was a threat. He was wanted by many countries. He was chased and was killed when fleeing from the U.S. Saying other people should have risked their lives to bring him back to America just because of where he was born is ridiculous.

You are right, I just don't like the idea of the Government killing its citizens. Under reasonable conditons it is ok. Its just the whole slippery slope thing that scares me.
